REPORT ON BLOOD DONATION DRIVE

The Health and Social Welfare Committee of Manipal College of Nursing (MCON), Manipal Academy of Health Education, Manipal, organized a blood donation drive on 26th September 2026 at the Blood Centre, Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. A total of 110 students and two faculty members from MCON volunteered to donate blood. Following the initial screening process, 50 volunteers successfully donated blood.
The event was coordinated by the committee chairperson, Ms. Prithika Pinto, along with Mr. Ashwin and other committee representatives, under the guidance of faculty advisors, Mr. Raghvendra Nayak, Assistant Professor and Dr. Sangeetha Priyadarshini, Assistant Professor - Senior Scale. This initiative contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, promoting voluntary blood donation and community health awareness.
