Report on Awareness Program on Adolescent Health
As part of Bharath ka Amruth Mahotsav Activity, the health education committee of Student Nurses' Association (SNA) of Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal organized an awareness program on Adolescent health between 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm on 14th May 2021 for the students of Madhava Kripa School, Manipal through online mode.
The topics for the programme were: physical, cognitive and emotional changes in an adolescent child, nutritional management, menstrual hygiene and stress management in adolescents. The students emphasized various healthy lifestyle practices to prevent disease and promote optimum health. The topics were dealt by Ms Sicil Maria Sibi, 3rd year BSc Nursing student and Ms Adlin Riya D’Souza, 4th year BSc Nursing student.
This program was coordinated by the health education committee chairperson Ms Viola Mathias, guided and supported by advisor Dr Yashoda Sathish, and co-advisor, Ms Prathibha Kamath, Assistant Professors, Manipal College of Nursing MAHE Manipal. A total number of 33 students participated in the program. All the sessions were informative and well appreciated by the participants.
