Report on the Signing of MoU between MAHE & KITES Senior Care

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, and KITES Senior Care, Bengaluru, on 15th July 2026 at MAHE, Manipal. The MoU was established to strengthen collaboration in implementing and sustaining the Certificate Course in Geriatrics and Palliative Care for Caregivers, a pioneering initiative aimed at developing a skilled and compassionate caregiving workforce to meet the growing needs of the elderly population.
This partnership of Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE Manipal, along with KITES Senior Care aims to implement and sustain the Certificate Course in Geriatrics and Palliative Care for Caregivers, a pioneering initiative designed to develop a skilled, compassionate, and competent caregiving workforce to meet the growing healthcare needs of the aging population. Through this collaboration, both institutions will provide structured training, clinical exposure, skill development, and experiential learning opportunities for participants enrolled in the certificate course.
The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Giridhar Kini P, Registrar, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, and Dr. Reema Nadig, Co-founder & Chief Operating Officer, KITES Senior Care, Bengaluru, in the presence of Major General (Dr.) Mathews Jacob, Pro Vice Chancellor – Health Sciences, MAHE, Manipal; Dr. Rajgopal G. Co-founder & CEO, KITES Senior and; Dr. Judith A. Noronha, Dean, Manipal College of Nursing (MCON), MAHE; Dr. Shashidhara Y. N., Course Coordinator and Professor, Manipal College of Nursing and Assistant Director, Centre for Doctoral Studies MAHE; Mrs. Linsy Mathew, Faculty Coordinator, Manipal Foundation, Manipal school of Commerce and economics, MAHE; Dr. Chythra R. Rao, Incharge Director, Prasanna School of Public Health (PSPH), MAHE; and Dr. Teddy Andrews, Department of Social And Health Innovation, PSPH Manipal.
The collaboration will facilitate clinical training opportunities at KITES Senior Care, support and promote knowledge exchange and strengthen practical learning experiences for caregivers. The partnership also reflects a shared commitment to enhancing the quality of geriatric and palliative care services through education, training, and community engagement.
The signing of the MoU marks a significant milestone in the collective efforts of MAHE and KITES Senior Care to support the Certificate Course in Geriatrics and Palliative Care for Caregivers and contribute towards building a competent caregiving workforce capable of addressing the evolving healthcare needs of older adults.
