Continuing Nursing Education

A Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) workshop titled “Voices that Heal – Mastering Therapeutic Communication and Clinical Resilience” was organized by the 2nd year MSc Psychiatric Nursing students as part of their academic initiative, along with the Dept of Psychiatric Nursing, on 18th March 2026, between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. The program was conducted for 32 staff nurses of Udupi taluk to enhance their skills in therapeutic communication and clinical resilience.
The inaugural session was graced by Dr. Binil V, Addl. Professor and HoD, Psychiatric Nursing, who emphasized the importance of effective communication in nursing practice. The program featured four sessions on effective communication and leadership skills, conflict resolution, resilience building and immigration protocols delivered by distinguished speakers: Mr. Renjulal Yeshodharan, Assistant Professor (Senior Scale), Department of Psychiatric (Mental Health) Nursing, MCON; Dr. Anil Raj A, Assistant Professor (Senior Scale), Department of Medical Surgical Nursing, MCON; Mr. Joice Abraham, CEO of Jony Leads; and Dr. Praveen A Jain, Assistant Professor (Selection Grade), Department of Psychiatry, KMC Manipal.
The sessions were aligned with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education). The valedictory ceremony was graced by Dr. Judith Angellita Noronha, Dean of MCON, and certificates were distributed to all participants. The program was informative and well-appreciated by the participants.
