International faculty Visit to Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal

A delegation from Villa College, Maldives, visited Manipal College of Nursing (MCON), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) on 26 August 2026 to explore opportunities for academic and research collaboration. The delegation comprised Mr. Abdul Munnim Mohamed Manik, Deputy Vice Rector (Administration & Finance); Ms. Aishath Mala, Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences; Dr. Mano Priya Vijayan, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences; and Dr. Aishath Nasheeda, Head of School and Director, VCare Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre.
The delegates were welcomed by Dr. Judith A. Noronha, Dean, Manipal College of Nursing, who provided an overview of MAHE's leadership, the academic programs offered by MCON, major research areas, and the institution's achievements in education, research, and community engagement. She also highlighted opportunities for international collaboration through student and faculty exchange programs, joint research initiatives, and academic partnerships.
During the interaction, the Villa College delegation shared insights about their institution and expressed a strong interest in developing collaborative initiatives with MCON. Discussions focused on potential areas of cooperation in education, research, faculty development, and student engagement, laying the foundation for future academic partnerships between the two institutions.
The visit was coordinated by the Office of International Affairs and Collaborations (OIAC), MAHE, which facilitated discussions and institutional engagement. This visit aligns with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, SDG 4: Quality Education, and SDG 17: Partnership for the Goals.
