The program was jointly initiated by Rotary hospital, Karkala, Red Cross unit of Govt. Polytechnic, Karkala and Rotary Club of Karkala Rock City. First aid measures for the various minor ailments were highlighted during the session which included sprain, cramps, dislocation, fracture, burns, spinal injury, epistaxis, drowning, snakebite, choking and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

The group participated actively in the programme and a total of 100 students benefited from the session. The overall coordinator of Rotary Club of Karkala Rock City, Dr.Bharathesh and the college management expressed the need for such training.
