ALUMNI ENGAGEMENT GUEST LECTURE SERIES- 01/2023

Manipal School of Nursing, MCON, MAHE, Manipal had organized an online guest lecture on the topic “Nursing care guidelines in cardiac emergencies” by Mrs.Clara D’mello, Registered Nurse, Cambridge University Hospital, Addenbrookes, Cambridge, UK on 28th of February 2023 at1.30pm.

Mrs. Clara discussed the Anatomy and Physiology of the heart, cardiac emergencies, diagnostic tests used in cardiac emergencies, basic management, surgical management, and nursing care. She also stressed the chain of survival in cardiac emergencies. She enlightened the participants by giving instances of her clinical experience.

A total of 70 participants attended the session. It was a useful and interactive session where participants could acquire knowledge on the management and nursing care of cardiac emergencies.
