MCON’s Achievement in the 80th Independence Day Celebration of MAHE, Manipal

The 80th Independence Day Celebration was held on 15 August 2026 at the MMMC Premises, Manipal, in the presence of the Chief Guest, Dr. H. S. Ballal, Pro Chancellor, MAHE, and Guest of Honour, Dr. Sharath K. Rao, Vice Chancellor, MAHE. The Independence Day celebration was organized by the faculty members of Manipal College of Nursing (MCON) under the leadership of Dr. Judith A. Noronha, Dean, MCON.

A total of 22 contingents participated in the March Past competition. The students of Manipal College of Nursing participated with great enthusiasm, discipline, and patriotic spirit, securing 2nd place in the March Past competition. Ms. Anjaly Peter, a Semester VII student, led the MCON team with commendable commitment and leadership. The team's impressive performance reflected excellent teamwork, coordination, discipline, and dedication.

The achievement brought pride and honor to MCON. The entire MCON family congratulates Ms. Anjaly Peter, the participating students, and the faculty coordinators for this well-deserved achievement.

The activity aligns with SDG 4 – Quality Education, SDG 5 – Gender Equality, SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
