MCON - SRF Session 9 – ‘IEC Approval Process’

Manipal College of Nursing - Student Research Forum, MAHE, Manipal, organized the ninth session of the year-long lecture series on the ‘IEC Approval Process’ on November 28, 2022, from 4 pm to 5 pm. The Resource Person for the session was Dr. Binil V, Associate Professor, Department of Mental Health Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal.

Dr. Binil shared his knowledge regarding principles of bioethics, ethical concerns, and categories of risk. He explained in detail the procedure of application to IEC. He also discussed with examples the necessary documents to submit to IEC.

The session was very informative and provided a well-appreciated guide for the new researchers to submit their research protocol on the IEC intranet portal. A total of 43 participants, including students, Ph.D. scholars, and project staff of MCON attended the session. E-certificates were given to all the participants
