MAHE National Photo Contest 2025 Captures the Spirit of Rain and Rhythm with Winning Frames

Manipal, September 11, 2025: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), an Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University, has announced the much-awaited results of the MAHE National Photo contest 2025, MeghMalhar: A Tribute to Rain & Rhythm. The contest brought together photographers from across India, each capturing the poetic beauty of the monsoon and the emotions it evokes through their lenses.
The winners in the MeghMalhar category are:
- 1st Prize: Romance by Mr. Indranil Sengupta
- 2nd Prize: When in River by Mr. Enamul Kabir, EFIAP, EFIP
- 3rd Prize: Illumination of Rain by Mr. Madhusudhan SR
The winners in the My MAHE, My Campus students category are:
- 1st Prize: A Crimson Twilight by Mr. Swaroop Diddi
- 2nd Prize: When the Sky Smiles by Mr. Kshitij Khatri
- 3rd Prize: Basketball Match by Mr. Arjun Kenjale
An exhibition of the shortlisted and winning photographs will be held on September 17, 18, and 19, 2025, at the Dr TMA Pai Auditorium, Manipal. The contest and exhibition are part of the celebrations marking the 90th birthday of Dr Ramdas M. Pai, Padma Bhushan Awardee, Hon’ble Chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE).
The distinguished jury for the contest includes:
- Mr. Anil Risal Singh – MFIAP (France), ARPS (Great Britain), Hon.FIP (India), Hon.LCC (India), FFIP (India), AIIPC (India)
- Mr. Digwas Bellemane – EFIAP/p, EsFIAP, EFIP, EsFIP, EPSA, EIUP, A.CPE, Hon.MoL, Hon.ELMG
- Dr. Kiran K. V. Acharya – Professor & Head, Orthopaedics Arthroscopy & Sports Injury, KMC Manipal, and a noted photographer.
The contest was organised in collaboration with the Youth Photographic Society (YPS) Bengaluru and supported by Manipal Institute of Communication (MIC) and Manipal Institute of Social Sciences, Humanities & Arts (MISHA). It celebrates India’s rich monsoon heritage and promotes artistic creativity through photography.
