Our Programs

Manipal Institute of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts (MISHA) is a leading research and teaching institute based in Manipal, Karnataka. It is one of only two Centres of Excellence in the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE)—MAHE is one of the original six Institutes of Eminence declared by the Government of India in 2017. MISHA offers an undergraduate BA/BA (Honours) program in the Humanities with a Major or Double Majors in English, Sociology, History, Psychology, Philosophy, French and German. MISHA also offers postgraduate and doctoral degrees in English, Sociology, and History. As one of the most exciting academic experiments in higher education in India, MISHA fosters a culture of innovative and reflexive pedagogy, intellectual freedom, student initiatives, and new directions in scholarship.
