On 27–28 March 2026, the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, MCOPS, MAHE, Manipal, successfully organized a Two-day Indo–Malaysian Colloquium 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗦𝗔𝗥 𝟮.𝟬 at Prof. P. Gundu Rao Hall, themed “𝗔𝗜 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝘀”, bringing together global experts to explore the integration of artificial intelligence with natural product research.

The event was inaugurated by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝘀, Director–Research, Directorate of Research, MAHE (Chief Guest) and 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗸𝗮𝗿, Associate Professor, School of Pharmacy, Monash University Malaysia (Guest of Honour), along with 𝗗𝗿. 𝗦𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘀 𝗠𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗸, Principal, MCOPS, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗩𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗷 𝗕𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗚, HoD, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and 𝗗𝗿. 𝗦𝘂𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗮 𝗚. 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗶, Professor & Organising Secretary. Dr. Suvarna Kini welcomed the gathering, with an overview. Dr. Srinivas Mutalik delivered opening remarks.

The event concluded on 28th March with a valedictory, marking two days of insightful discussions, collaboration, and innovation in advancing nature-inspired pharmaceutical research.
