45-Year Golden Reunion at MIT Manipal

The MIT Manipal campus came alive on December 16 as alumni returned to celebrate Punaragaman–2025, marking their 45-year Golden Reunion. The day was filled with nostalgia, warm reunions, and joyful interactions as alumni reconnected with friends and relived cherished student memories.

The formal programme at the Library Auditorium was inaugurated by Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M. D. Venkatesh, Vice Chancellor of MAHE, who highlighted the strength of MAHE’s 2.5+ lakh global alumni network and the institution’s excellence in education, research, innovation, sustainability, and internationalisation. He also shared plans for AI-driven digital systems to further enhance transparency and efficiency.

Cdr. (Dr.) Anil Rana, Director, MIT Manipal, spoke about the vital role alumni play in keeping the campus vibrant and globally relevant. He highlighted MIT’s achievements, including 2,500+ publications, 270 patents, 160+ startups valued at ₹600 crore, major infrastructure projects, and outstanding student accomplishments across innovation, technology, and research.

Emphasising alumni engagement, Dr. Kanthi Hegde, Associate Director – Alumni and International Relations, noted that over 220 alumni revisited the campus this year. She acknowledged the continued support of distinguished alumni whose mentorship and contributions strengthen MIT’s legacy and future.
