MIT Manipal Signs 2+2 Dual-Degree Agreement

The Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), MAHE, Manipal, has recently signed a 2+2 dual-degree agreement with Monash University, Australia, strengthening international academic collaboration and providing global learning opportunities for engineering students.

As part of this partnership, a delegation of scholars and faculty members from MIT, Manipal recently visited Monash University to discuss the implementation and academic structure of the programme. The discussions reaffirmed that eligible undergraduate students from MIT will have a seamless pathway to complete their engineering degree through the dual-degree programme.

Structure of the 2+2 Dual-Degree Programme

Under the 2+2 programme structure, students will complete:

  • First two years of their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programme at MIT, Manipal
  • Final two years at Monash University in Australia

Upon successful completion of the programme, students will graduate with two globally recognized degrees—a BTech from MIT, Manipal and an engineering degree from Monash University.

Programmes Offered

The collaboration currently includes dual-degree pathways in:

  • Computer Science / Software Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering

Students transferring to Monash will engage in advanced coursework, research-driven learning, and industry-oriented projects aligned with global engineering standards.
