Walk with the Director Strengthens Student-Parent Connect at MIT Pravesh 2026

As part of MIT Pravesh 2026, the Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), MAHE, in association with the MAHE MIT NSS Units I & II, organised its signature "Walk with the Director" programme, bringing together newly admitted B.Tech. students, their parents, faculty members, and institute leadership. The initiative offered participants an opportunity to explore the campus while learning about MIT Manipal's academic ecosystem, research facilities, innovation centres, sports infrastructure, hostels, and student support services.

The programme was flagged off by Dr. Chandrakala C. B., Director In-charge, MIT Manipal, who highlighted the importance of building trust, openness, and a sense of belonging from the very beginning of a student's academic journey. Cdr. (Dr.) Anil Rana, Pro-President, Manipal University Jaipur and former Director of MIT Manipal, led the campus walk, sharing insights into the institute's growth and its commitment to academic excellence and holistic development.

Adding a historical perspective, Dr. Somashekar Bhat, former Joint Director, traced the remarkable evolution of Manipal and paid tribute to the vision of Dr. T. M. A. Pai, Dr. Ramdas M. Pai, and Dr. Ranjan R. Pai. The programme concluded with a group photograph and an informal tea interaction, leaving students and parents inspired and confident as they begin their journey at MIT Manipal.
