MIT Student Iraiyarasu Sankar Selected for Prestigious Khelo India Platform

The Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), MAHE, proudly congratulates Iraiyarasu Sankar, a sixth-semester B.Tech student from the Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) program, for achieving a remarkable milestone in university sports.
Sankar has become the first-ever student from MIT, MAHE, to be selected for the prestigious Khelo India platform, marking a significant achievement for both the student and the institution.
This recognition follows his outstanding performance at the All India Inter-University Boxing Championship, held at Kurukshetra University, Haryana, from recenlty. The championship witnessed participation from more than 250 competitors representing universities across India.
Demonstrating exceptional skill, discipline, and determination in the ring, Sankar advanced to the quarterfinal stage, competing against some of the best university-level boxers in the country. His performance highlighted not only his athletic talent but also his strong commitment to excellence.
Balancing the demanding schedule of a Computer Science and Engineering program specializing in AI and ML with rigorous sports training, Sankar exemplifies the spirit of perseverance and dedication.
