Team AeroMIT Secures Top 4 Global Rank at SAE Aero Design East 2026

MIT Manipal proudly celebrates Team AeroMIT’s outstanding achievement at the SAE Aero Design East 2026, held from March 6–8, 2026 in Lakeland, USA.

The team secured an impressive Top 4 global ranking and emerged as #1 in Asia, reflecting exceptional technical expertise, dedication, and teamwork, and bringing immense pride to the institute.

Organised by SAE International in collaboration with Lockheed Martin, the competition featured participation from 72 teams worldwide. Competing in the Micro Class category, Team AeroMIT delivered an excellent performance, securing #4 in Mission Performance and #5 in Design Report.

Facing strong competition from globally reputed institutions such as Texas A&M University and Georgia Institute of Technology, the team demonstrated remarkable innovation, precision engineering, and problem-solving capabilities.

This milestone underscores Team AeroMIT’s perseverance and commitment to advancing aerospace innovation, further strengthening MIT Manipal’s position on the global stage.
