MITians are at the top of the world
The center for outdoor studies, MIT Manipal, leads a team of 7 MITians on a cycling tour across the Himalayas. They aim to cover 550kms and go up to heights of 5000m on their bicycles. As on 13th June, 2023 the team finished the Zoji La pass which is one of most toughest roads in the world. The team is currently in Kargil and will cross over Pensi La pass (4000m) into the Zanskar valley.
The centre led by Asst Professor Ganesh Nayak helps develop the "can do" attitude in our young students. They instill a sense of determination to face up to challenges, handle stress and spark up a desire in our students "to succeed against all odds".
