Three-Day FDP on UAV Systems Using MATLAB at MIT Manipal

The School of Mechanical Engineering at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), MAHE, is currently hosting a three-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Design, Analysis and Control of UAV Systems using MATLAB” from 4–6 March 2026 at Janyu MAHE COE (C Wing Near). Organized in collaboration with MathWorks, the program aims to equip faculty members with hands-on knowledge in modeling, simulation, design, and control of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems using MATLAB and Simulink.

The inaugural ceremony was held on 4 March 2026 and began with an invocation song, followed by a welcome address by Dr. D. V. Kamath, Dean, School of Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Chandrakala C. B., Joint Director, MIT-Manipal, delivered the chief guest address and inaugurated the program. Mr. Venkatesan Seetharaman from MathWorks delivered the inaugural address. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Spoorthi Singh.
