Centre for Evidence - informed Decision-making, Cochrane Affiliate Centre - MAHE (Cochrane India Network), Prasanna School of Public Health (PSPH), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal in collaboration with The George Institute for Global Health organised a Workshop on “Introduction to Evidence and Gap Map” on February 27-28, 2025 (09:00 to 17:00 hours IST) in the Medical Education Classroom, Second Floor, Health Sciences Library Building, MAHE, Manipal.
Dr Prachi Pundir (Research Fellow, The George Institute for Global Health India) was the resource person for the workshop.
Workshop Overview:
This two-day workshop introduced participants to the process of conducting Evidence and Gap Map (EGM). Participants learnt how to identify gaps in existing research using EGM, and the steps to conduct an EGM. Through a combination of presentations and hands-on activities, participants gained practical skills in mapping evidence gaps and developing protocols to guide future research and policy decisions.
This workshop was attended by 21 Faculties and researchers, within MAHE and Non MAHE institutions looking to enhance their evidence-based decision-making skills.
