Engaging Lecture on Health Technology Assessment (HTA)
On November 10, 2025, we were honored to host Dr Kavita Kachroo, Chief Operating Officer & Scientist E at KIHT, for an insightful guest lecture with our MPH and MSc HTA students on “The Role of HTA in Decision-Making: Real World Case Studies.”
Dr Kachroo shared valuable insights on how Health Technology Assessment (HTA) informs critical healthcare decisions, providing real-world case studies that illustrated its impact on shaping health policy, improving system efficiency, and ensuring evidence-based practices.
This session was organised by the Department of Health Technology and Informatics in collaboration with the Department of Global Public Health Policy and Governance, Prasanna School of Public Health, MAHE, Manipal reflecting our commitment to fostering interdisciplinary learning and equipping students with practical knowledge to address global health challenges.
