ALTIARA 2026 was a monumental global homecoming event hosted by the Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal (MCODS) to celebrate its Diamond Jubilee, marking 60 years of academic excellence and leadership in dental education. Held from January 2 to 4 2026, in the coastal town of Manipal, the event brought together approximately 255 delegates from across the world, reuniting alumni, faculty, and students.
The celebration kicked off with significant milestones, including the inauguration of a new world-class Board Room at the MCODS Dental Clinics and the unveiling of a commemorative ALTIARA plaque. The three-day itinerary was a blend of professional enrichment and nostalgic celebration. Highlights included:
- Academic & Professional Engagement: A Scientific Colloquium and various scientific sessions provided a platform for intellectual exchange, reflecting the institution's commitment to cutting-edge research.
- Nostalgic Activities: Alumni participated in a campus tour, revisiting familiar corridors and witnessing the institution's growth.
- Social & Cultural Festivities: A grand Banquet Dinner and gala events featuring music and beachside fun, allowing batchmates to reconnect in a relaxed environment was a highlight of the alumni reunion.
The event was graced by high-ranking leadership from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), including the first lady of Manipal, Mrs Vasanthi R Pai, Pro Chancellor Dr. H.S. Ballal and Vice Chancellor Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M.D. Venkatesh. Organising Chairman Dr. Monica Solomon and Dean Dr. Gopalakrishnan Dharmarajan led the ceremonies, which included felicitations for distinguished alumni and faculty. ALTIARA 2026 successfully bridged generations of dental professionals, reinforcing the enduring "Manipal Magic" and the institution's global impact on oral healthcare.
