The Department of Periodontology at Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MCODS), Manipal, successfully conducted the "iTOP Introductory and Annual Recall Course" to celebrate Oral Hygiene Day 2026. The event was held on August 1st at the institutional board room. Postgraduate students, faculty, and a dental hygienist participated in this program.The program was held under the guidance and leadership of Dr. Gopalakrishnan D, Dean of MCODS Manipal, and Dr. Santhosh Kumar, Professor and Head of the Department of Periodontology. The program included a talk on itop and a hands-on touch to teach training session. Two trained educators from Curaden India: Dr. Ashwin P S (MDS Periodontics, iTOP Lecturer) and Dr. Siri P B (MDS Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, iTOP Lecturer) effectively undertook the task. The curated program schedule included an in-depth iTOP lecture highlighting advanced biofilm management, followed by an interactive, hands-on training session designed to upgrade clinical oral hygiene practices.The program was in continuation of the ongoing MOU with Curaden AG, Switzerland.
