Dr. N. Vasudev Ballal Invited as Guest Speaker at National Faculty Development Program FACE 2026

The Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MCODS), Manipal, is pleased to share that Dr. N. Vasudev Ballal, Professor, was invited as a Guest Speaker at the Faculty Development Program “Faculty Advancement for Clinical and Educational Excellence (FACE) 2026,” jointly organised by NITTE (Deemed to be University), the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), and the Academic and Administrative Development Centre (AADC).

The online Faculty Development Program was conducted from 20th to 24th April 2026, bringing together academicians, clinicians, and educators from various institutions across the country to enhance competencies in teaching, research, and clinical practice. As part of the programme, Dr. Ballal delivered an engaging scientific session on 23rd April 2026 titled “Writing Impactful Research Papers and Ethical Issues in Scientific Research.”

During the session, Dr. Ballal provided valuable insights into the principles of effective scientific writing, highlighting strategies for developing high-quality manuscripts, improving research visibility, selecting appropriate journals, and enhancing the overall impact of scholarly publications. He also emphasised the importance of maintaining ethical standards in scientific research and publication, discussing issues related to research integrity, authorship, plagiarism, and responsible conduct of research.

The lecture was highly appreciated by participants for its practical relevance, clarity, and comprehensive coverage of topics essential for contemporary researchers and academicians. Drawing upon his extensive experience as a researcher, educator, and academician, Dr. Ballal offered guidance that was both informative and applicable to faculty members seeking to strengthen their research and publication skills.
