Career Guidance session “Clinical Oral Pathology: Diagnostic Perspectives and Career Opportunties”

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Oral Microbiology, organized a Career Guidance Program Clinical Oral Pathology: Diagnostic Perspectives and Career Opportunties” for undergraduate students. The resource person, Dr Vimi S Mutalik,  Associate Professor, Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry, University of Manitoba, CANADA and Adjunct Faculty of Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Oral Microbiology delivered an insightful question answer session on global career opportunities for dental graduates, highlighting various academic and professional pathways providing an overview of scholarships, career prospects and guidance on navigating international educational and professional requirements. She also emphasized on the integration of clinical examination, histopathological diagnosis and patient-centered care. She highlighted how the scope of Clinical Oral Pathology extends beyond conventional laboratory diagnosis to include active participation in oral medicine clinics, management of complex oral diseases, teaching, and research.
