The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Oral Microbiology, in association with Oral Medicine and Radiology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery organized an Academic Enrichment Program titled “CLINICAL CONFLUENCE” for postgraduate students and faculty. The program commenced with opening remarks by the Dean, Dr.Gopalakrishna Dharmarajan. The resource person, Dr Vimi S Mutalik, Associate Professor, Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry, University of Manitoba, CANADA and Adjunct Faculty of Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Oral Microbiology presented a series of interesting cliniopathologic cases. The session covered a wide range of cases, including white lesions, red and white lesions, oral malignancies, deep fungal infections, and nodular lesions. The discussions emphasized the clinical presentation, differential diagnosis, biopsy, histopathological correlation, and appropriate management of these conditions. Various treatment options were discussed, highlighting the rationale for selecting a particular management approach and its advantages in achieving optimal patient outcomes. The programme was highly interactive and provided valuable learning opportunities for the participants, enhancing their diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
