Dr. N. Vasudev Ballal Delivers Guest Lecture on Scientific Writing at KVG Dental College, Sullia

Dr. N. Vasudev Ballal, Professor, Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MCODS), Manipal, was invited as the Guest Speaker for a Continuing Dental Education (CDE) programme organised by the Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, KVG Dental College and Hospital, Sullia, Karnataka, on 5th March 2026.

During the programme, Dr. Ballal delivered an insightful lecture titled “Data to Draft: Mastering the Art of Scientific Writing.” The session focused on guiding researchers and academicians through the process of transforming research findings into well-structured scientific manuscripts suitable for publication in peer-reviewed journals. He highlighted essential aspects of scientific writing, including effective organisation of research data, manuscript structure, clarity in scientific communication, ethical considerations in publishing, and strategies to enhance the quality and impact of scholarly work.

The lecture attracted active participation from faculty members, postgraduate students, and interns, who benefitted from the practical guidance, real-world examples, and valuable academic perspectives shared during the session. The interactive discussion that followed further enriched the learning experience and encouraged participants to strengthen their research and publication skills.

The programme was conducted under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Moksha Nayak, Principal, KVG Dental College and Hospital, Sullia, and Prof. (Dr.) Krishna Prasada L, Head, Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, with the support of the institutional administration. The session was highly appreciated by attendees and served as a meaningful academic platform for promoting excellence in dental research and scientific communication.
