The Department of Periodontology, MCODS, Manipal, under the guidance of Dr. Santhosh Kumar, Professor and Head, Department of Periodontology, and Dr. Gopalakrishnan Dharmarajan, Dean, MCODS Manipal, successfully organized a guest lecture on 25th July 2026 in a hybrid mode. The session was delivered by Dr. G. Subraya Bhat, Associate Professor, Department of Periodontics, College of Dentistry, Imam Abdul Rahman Bin Faisal University, Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and Adjunct Faculty at MCODS Manipal. The lecture on "Conventional vs Minimally Invasive Periodontal Surgery" highlighted the evolving concepts, clinical applications, and advantages of minimally invasive periodontal surgical techniques in comparison with conventional approaches. The session was highly interactive and attended by faculty members, postgraduate students, interns, and undergraduate students, providing an excellent platform for academic exchange and strengthening participants knowledge of contemporary evidence-based periodontal surgical practice.
