Dr. Rakesh Kumar
Assistant Professor
I am committed to seek fundamental knowledge about the nature of pain and the application of that knowledge to improve health and reduce disability. The understanding of the cellular neurobiology of human pain disorders has relied heavily on experiments in animal models. However, the findings often fail to translate into efficacious pain treatments for humans. I aim to incorporate myself studying the human tissues that will reveal the molecular mechanisms of human pain and help explain pain condition
