Intern wins the first place in the first elsevier dental science olympiad
Apoorva Kamath, Intern, Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Mangalore won the FIRST place in the FIRST ELSEVIER DENTAL SCIENCE OLYMPIAD.

She won a trophy and cash prize of 25000 rupees. She qualified for the final round comprising of top 5 contestants.
More than 10,000 undergraduate students of III and IV year BDS took the campus rounds of the Elsevier Dental Science Olympiad in May 2014 to assess their academic acumen in clinical dental sciences subjects of which 500 top winners took the II Online round of further intense quizzing.
Top 20 finalists qualified for the grand finale and were invited to Delhi for the Finale. Three of the interns of Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Mangalore: Apoorva Kamath, Soumya Sridhar and Ashwini Dessai were among the top 20.
The Grand finale held at Delhi on 21st February 2015 comprised of three rounds: MCQ round, No Option Questions and Pedagogy and Finally the Rapid Fire Quiz round.
