Basic Recap 2026, a two-day pre-exam preparatory workshop for first-year postgraduate dental students, was held on July 2–3, 2026, at the KMC Knowledge Block, Mangalore.

Organized under IACDE, ACE Karnataka and the Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Mangalore, under the stewardship of Organising Chairman Dr. Karthik Shetty and Organising Secretary Dr. Roma M, the program is one of ACE Karnataka's flagship initiatives alongside Rapid Recap for final-year postgraduates. The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. Dilip G. Naik, Pro Vice-Chancellor, MAHE (Mangalore Campus), in the presence of Guests of Honour Dr. Ashita Uppoor, Dean, MCODS, and Dr. Mithra Hegde, Principal, ABSMIDS and President, IACDE.

This edition saw 130+ registrations from 30 dental colleges across Karnataka, with 19 speakers covering 22 topics.
