: Basic Life Support (BLS) Hands-on workshop was conducted on 09.08.2025 and 26.08.2025, for the Post Graduate students of MCODS, Mangalore.  They were trained to give high quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilation using bag-mask ventilator and provide early use of an AED. They were trained to recognize various life-threatening emergency situations and how to initiate and conduct the Basic Life Support.

This program was conducted by Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Mangalore in collaboration with Department of Emergency Medicine, Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore at Simulation Centre, KMC Attavar. The resource persons were Dr. Nikhil Paul (Assistant Professor), Dr.Sanjan.A (Associate Professor) & Dr. Kashyapa (Senior Resident) from Department of Emergency Medicine, KMC, Mangalore along with Dr. Joanna Baptist, Associate Professor, Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, MCODS, Mangalore, who trained the Post Graduate students of MCODS, Mangalore in Basic Life Support and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation. The program comprised of a lecture taken by Dr. Kashyapa on 09.08.2025 and Dr. Nikhil Paul on 26.08.2025. The lecture was followed by Hands-on training on Mannequins on by Dr. Joanna Baptist, Dr. Nikhil Paul, Dr.Sanjan A. & Dr. Kashyapa. A total of 116 students attended the program. They appreciated and enjoyed the learning experience and the training given to them.
