Associate Professor, Saumy Joseph Johnson is the new head of Department of Respiratory Therapy, one of the oldest departments of the institute. Earlier, Dr Ram Kumar and then Dr Anitha Shenoy  were the heads. The department grew under them considerably and even the placements are a hundred per cent now. The institute is also home to the Indian Association of Respiratory Care and is responsible for publishing the Association’s Journal (Indexed). Dr Anitha was felicitated for the yeoman service she rendered to the institute at a function recently. Col.(Dr.) Dayananda, Medical Superintendent and COO, Kasturba Hospital was present.
