National Conference on Clinical Laboratory Education and Research (NACCLER 2025)

The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, Manipal College of Health Professions (MCHP), MAHE, Manipal,  hosted the 4th National Conference on Clinical Laboratory Education and Research (NACCLER - 2025) on April 28, 2025

The conference brought together academicians, industry experts, and students to delve into the latest advancements and innovations in clinical laboratory science.

The theme of this year's conference, "Driving Innovation through Industry-Academia-Research Synergy," highlighted the importance of collaboration between these three critical sectors to foster progress in the field.

The Conference was inaugurated by chief guest, Dr. Raviraja N.S., Chief Operating Officer of MAHE. The guests of honour Dr. G. Arun Maiya, Dean, MCHP, Dr. B. Reshmi and Dr. John Solomon M. Associate Deans, MCHP were present during the inauguration.

The organizing chairperson, Dr Saritha Kamath U, Head, Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, MCHP welcomed the gathering, Dr Kalaivani M Organising secretary NACCLER 2025 gave the overview, Dr Anju M, Organising secretary NACCLER 2025 proposed the vote of thanks.

The conference was held in the hybrid mode with offline as well as online delegates from 27 Institutes across the country including MAHE. Over 240 participants were a part at this conference making it an incredible experience.

 

The scientific sessions featured expert talks, including Dr. Sachin, Medical Geneticist, Anderson, Chennai, on the application of next generation sequencing for molecular diagnosticsDr. Sachin Dattram Pawar, Assistant Professor, MCOPS, on the application of mass spectrometry in translational medicineDr. Shanthakumari B.R., Speciality Medical Officer, Kasturba Hospital, on blood cell morphology as a pillar of diagnostic excellence; and Dr. Ajeeth Patil on advancements in imaging for blood cell morphology. Additionally, Pratijna Suhasini G.R., Dean, Mangala Group of Educational Institutions, explored career pathways for medical laboratory technologists, while industrial sessions were delivered by experts from Thermo Fisher Scientific and Equitron, who shared insights on industrial innovations and advancing diagnostic solutions.

With five speakers presenting onsite and two joining online, the conference offered a rich platform for knowledge exchange, interactive discussions, and networking among students, faculty, researchers, and industry professionals, making NACCLER 2025 a memorable and impactful event.
