The Department of Speech and Hearing, MCHP, Manipal, conducted a Slogan writing competition in association with the Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (KMC, Mangalore), Bharati Vidyapeeth (DU, Pune) and, Faculty of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (SRIHER, Chennai). The slogan writing competition was organized in commemoration of the "International Stuttering Awareness Day" (October 22, 2023) to create awareness of stuttering and its impact on quality of life among students and professionals. In this regard, a good response was obtained from different colleges from all over India.  A total of 29 slogans were received, and they were rated by four judges for slogan relevance, creativity, originality, and impact or influence. Two slogans were selected as winners, and they were posted on the MCHP's official social media. This event was coordinated by Dr Rakesh C V along with an MSc SLP student volunteer Ms Annena Binu.

The first position was won by BASLP students (Nidha Fasleen & Fathima Beevi) from AWH Special College, Kozhikode, Kerala.

The second position was won by Dr. Priyanka, Founder and Head of the AUM Speech Fluency Therapy clinic, Mysore.
