October 31, 2021
The Rotaract Club of Manipal(MIT) and Kasturba Medical College (a constituent hospital of M.A.H.E.) organized a blood donation campaign on the 31st of October 2021.
The noble cause of blood donation was carried by a total of more than one hundred and sixty people, and the process went on for roughly six and a half hours. The campaign had seven steps in total. With step one as registration, followed by counselling., a medical checkup was carried out to check the blood pressure and other vitals, after which the blood group was confirmed. The donor then registered and proceeded to donate their blood—the director of MIT Manipal, Cdr. Dr Anil Rana, too, was among the many to be a part of this campaign. As a part of recognition and appreciation, certificates were given to the donors. The whole process was extremely smooth, and every single donor justified the cause. During and after COVID, the medical professionals saw a massive shortage in blood, and to support the cause, the Rotaract Club of Manipal organized this Blood Donation Campaign. With combined efforts, this event was a huge success.
Every individual should realize the need for blood donation and help in saving someone’s life!
