Dr. Sameena Begum Pathan, faculty in the Department of Information and Communication Technology, has been awarded the “Special Mention of the Jury” Award 2020 for her thesis titled “Automated Detection of Melanocytes Related Pigmented Skin Lesions Using Image Processing”. The award is issued by Board for IT Education Standards (BITES), a non-profit society constituted by Govt. of Karnataka. She has carried out her research under the guidance of Dr. P. C. Siddalingaswamy, Associate Professor-Sr in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. The award ceremony was held at “Siddaganga Institute of Technology”, Tumkur on 18^th March 2022
