CHANDRAYAAN UTSAV was celebrated at Manipal Institute of Technology on 5th and 6th September. in order to commemorate the successful Launch of Chandraayan 3, which landed on the south pole region of the Moon on 23rd August 2O23. To salute the dedicated ISRO scientists, we at MIT organized a technical education drive. We played a MOVIE SHOW, which holds the promise of inspiring young minds to join the realms of space exploration and science.

To celebrate these significant achievements, as per the notification https://zurl.co/d2sY.2-52/2023(CPP_II) Dated 01st Sept. 2023 from UGC, volunteers from NSS (NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME) at Manipal Institute of Technology organized " CHANDRAAYAN UTSAV -- MOVIE SHOW" on 5th and 6th September 2023, at MIT STUDENT PLAZA. 32 ft LED display with an effective sound system to have a technical feel about the movie and documentary.

CHANDRAAYAN UTSAV was inaugurated by Cdr. Dr. Anil Rana, Director MIT Manipal, addressed the students and informed them to contribute to space research technology and appreciated the contribution of ISRO and their team for such a great successful event. Dr. Somashekara Bhat, Joint director MIT, Associate Directors - Dr. Ramachandra Murthy, Dr. Poornima Kundapur, Student project Coordinator Dr. Nagaraja, and Assistant Director Dr. Pramod Shetty were all present. NSS program officer Dr. Lakshaman Rao P, Dr. Poornima Bhagavath, Dr. Asha C S, and Dr. Balakrishna S. Maddodi coordinated the CHANDRAAYAN UTSAV MOVIE SHOW.

Students from different disciplines from MAHE Institution witnessed the movie show and were able to connect to the history of Chandrayaan-1 Chandrayaan-2, and cheered to appreciate Chandrayaan-3, the first to land on MOON. NSS volunteers also arranged for a musical dance program, SPACE DANCE, to cherish and celebrate CHANDRAYAAN UTSAVA.
