On World Blood Donor's Day Govt of Karnataka - Udupi District Administration felicitated Dr Balakrishna Maddodi, Associate Professor Department of Civil Engineering, NSS program officer MAHE-MIT NSS UNIT for organizing 50 Mega Blood Donation camp & personally donating blood 37 times. 

Along with Abhayahastha Charitable Trust as Treasurer, NSS program officer and Rotaract MIT & Rotaract Dr TMA Pai faculty advisor and Chairman he was a part of the team to organize 173 camps to mobilise 20,000 units of blood which helped the needy one's in emergency. 

ABHAYAHASTA CHARITABLE TRUST was recognized and awarded with Udupi District Kannada RAJYOSTAVA AWARD 2023, Dr Maddodi is the Treasurer of this non profitable organization serving community with blood and other health care services.
