Overview

Pediatric Hematology and oncology deals primarily with benign hematological disorders like Thalassemia, sickle cell anemia and cancers such as acute lymphoblastic leukemia and embryonal tumors. These disorders have very high cure rates especially if diagnosed early and treated appropriately. Treatment of children with such disorders requires multi-modality specialties like pediatric surgery, surgical oncologist, radiation oncologist and palliative care.

The proposed fellowship program will strengthen basic and advanced knowledge and skills about pediatric hematological and oncology cases to the candidates and creating basic awareness in candidates for research in the field of oncology
