History courses orients students to the collective past of humanity. The purpose is to acquaint students with the various significant events that have shaped India, its surrounding regions, Asia, and other regions of the world. Another aim is to provide multiple perspectives to study and comprehend the past. With a special emphasis on Indian History, learners would also be introduced to the histories of various other parts of the world. The programme’s basic goal is to familiarise the students with the complexities and conflicts that have marked the various periods in collective human history.
