Dr. Sandeep brings with him over three decades of rich professional experience, comprising more than 07 years of industry and 26 years of academic experience.
An accomplished scholar, Dr. Sandeep holds a Bachelor’s in Engineering (Hons.) in Civil Engineering and Master's Degree in Financial Management. He has obtained M.Phil. in Management and Ph.D. specializing in Capital Markets. His academic and research interests span over finance, banking, insurance and stock markets.
Under Dr. Sandeep’s leadership, the Manipal School of Commerce and Economics witnessed significant growth through the introduction of new academic programmes, expanded specializations, increased student enrolment, establishment of doctoral programmes and international collaborations. He also facilitated professional accreditations such as ACCA, CMA, and CIMA and fostered strategic partnerships with organizations including TCS, EY, and the CII Institute of Logistics, enhancing industry-academia engagement and academic excellence.
During his stint as Director – Compliance, Dr. Sandeep has significantly contributed to MAHE's quality assurance and accreditation initiatives. He has led ISO certification efforts, coordinated major accreditation exercises including NAAC, facilitated regulatory approvals and contributed to several strategic institutional initiatives. As Director of IQAC, he played an instrumental role in MAHE securing the NAAC A++ accreditation.
Dr. Shenoy played a pivotal role in the preparation of MAHE's Institution of Eminence proposal and served as Convenor of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 across the University.
As a Ph.D. supervisor at MAHE he has guided several research scholars to successful completion of their doctoral studies. He has published more than 50 research papers in reputed national and international journals, authored books and scholarly articles and has been recognized internationally, including receiving the Best Paper Award at an international conference hosted by the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, in 2017.
