8. Freeship, Scholars and Achiever Scholarship for B.Pharm program

MAHE Manipal offers Freeship, Scholar and Achiever scholarship to meritorious students admitted to the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) program at Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS) Manipal

8.1 Scholarship Guidelines

• Minimum Eligibility Requirements

o 80 % in Chemistry + Physics + Biology / Mathematics in 12th from a recognised Board.

• Freeship & Scholar category Scholarships put together constitute 5 % of the general category intake and are applicable for the entire program duration, starting the 1st year of the program.

• Achiever category Scholarship constitutes 5 % of the general category intake (excluding Freeship & scholarship students) and is applicable from the beginning of 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th year based on the annual academic performance in the immediate previous year i.e., 1st year, 2nd year and 3rd year

o There will be NO scholarship based on the performance in the final year.

8.2 Freeship

• The rank range and the scholarship seats for the BPharm for Freeship category are as shown in Table above.

• The Freeship scholarship involves 100 % of the Program fee payable.

o Candidates are required to pay the full first year program fee including refundable Caution Deposit of Rs. 10,000 at the time of Counseling.

o The Candidates admitted under Freeship category will have to take care of other expenses such as hostel accommodation, food, books etc.

• Scholarships will be offered to the candidate with the topmost MET rank who completes the Reporting & Admission formalities in Round 1 of BPharm Counseling.

o In case of withdrawal, scholarship will be awarded as per merit to the admitted candidates in the Round 1 counselling and as per scholarship vacancy.

▪ In case of scholarship vacancy after considering the admitted students of round 1, this

scholarship(s) will be awarded to the candidate(s) based on MET rank after completion of all

rounds of counselling (except Spot Admission).

o The candidates opting for only waitlisting during the 1st round of Counseling are NOT eligible for this scholarship.

o After due verification, the list of students eligible for Freeship scholarship will be finalized and MAHE Admissions Office will email the MAHE Scholarship Application Form 2025 to the eligible candidates.

o The excess fee paid (after applying for the scholarship) shall be refunded within 3 months, only on submission of duly filled Scholarship Application Form 2025 to the MAHE Manipal Admissions office.

• However, Rs. 10,000 would be retained as the minimum fee payable in addition to the refundable caution deposit.

o In addition, Freeship scholars are required to pay minimum Rs. 10,000 towards the Program fee every year, for the subsequent years.

• The award of scholarship for the subsequent years will be same as given at the time of admission in the first year.

• Continuation of scholarship for subsequent years will be based on the academic performance in the immediate previous university examinations before the due date for payment of fee / dues i.e., minimum CGPA of 8 in a 10- point grading system.

o Freeship scholars, who are promoted to next year with less than 8 CGPA, are NOT eligible for scholarship and MUST pay the full Program fee applicable for that academic year.

o Freeship scholars, who are promoted to next year with failures (F) / Incomplete (I) / Detention (DT) grades, are NOT eligible for scholarship and MUST pay the full Program fee applicable for that academic year.

o The scholarships will be forfeited in the instances of irregularity in attendance, proven charges of indiscipline, bringing disrepute to the Department / Institution / University etc.

• In case the Freeship scholar leaves the course before the course completion (for any reason), then he / she MUST reimburse the total Program fee (as per Prospectus 2025) for the years of scholarship utilized, back to MAHE Manipal.

8.3 Scholar

• The rank range and the scholarship seats for Scholar category is as shown in Table above.

• The Scholar scholarship involves 20 % waiver of the Program fee.

o Candidates are required to pay the full first year program fee including refundable Caution Deposit of Rs. 10,000 at the time of Counseling.

o The Candidates admitted under the Scholars category will have to take care of other expenses such as hostel accommodation, food, books etc.

• Scholarships will be offered to the candidate with the topmost MET rank who completes the Reporting & Admission formalities in Round 1 of BPharm Counseling.

o In case of withdrawal, scholarship will be awarded as per merit to the admitted candidates during Round

1 counselling and as per scholarship vacancy.

▪ In case of scholarship vacancy after considering the admitted students of round 1, this scholarship(s)

will be awarded to the candidate(s) based on MET rank after completion of all rounds of counselling

(except Spot Admission).

• In case the Scholar category scholar leaves the course before the course completion (for any reason), he / she MUST reimburse the total Program fee (as per Prospectus 2025) for the years of scholarship utilized, back to MAHE Manipal.

8.4 Achievers

• “Achiever” Scholarship constitute top 5 % of the general category intake and is applicable at the beginning of 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th year based on the annual academic performance of the immediate previous year i.e., 1st year, 2nd year and 3rd year.

o Transfer students are NOT eligible for this scholarship in the year of admission. Based on performance, they will be eligible for 3rd & 4th year scholarship, as per guidelines.

o Minimum annual academic performance requirement to become eligible for this scholarship is 8 CGPA with no backlogs.

o In the case of students with the same annual CGPA, the tie will be broken using the following criteria.

▪ No. of subjects with maximum number of A+ / ≥ 90% of marks

▪ No. of subjects with maximum number of A / ≥ 80% marks

▪ Student with highest aggregate marks

▪ Student with best aggregate attendance percentage

o There will be NO scholarship based on the performance in the final year.

• The Achiever scholarship involves 20 % waiver of the program fee.

o The Candidates admitted under Achiever category will have to take care of other expenses such as hostel accommodation, food, books etc.

• In addition,

o Students who are promoted to next year with failures (F) / Incomplete (I) / Detention (DT) grades, will NOT be eligible for scholarship for that academic year.

o The scholarship will be forfeited in the instances of irregularity in attendance, proven charges of indiscipline, bringing disrepute to the Department / Institution / University etc.

• In case the Achiever category scholar leaves the course before the course completion (for any reason), he / she MUST reimburse the total Course (as per Prospectus 2025) fee for the years of scholarship utilized, back to MAHE Manipal.

9. Scholarships for MPharm Program

MAHE Manipal offers scholarships to meritorious students admitted to the following MPharm program at Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS), Manipal

• MPharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry

• MPharm in Pharmacognosy

9.1 Scholarship Guidelines

• Minimum Eligibility Requirements

o Pass in BPharm from a university recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), with minimum

55% aggregate marks or equivalent

• The scholarship involves a 20 % waiver of the Program fee for the candidates admitted to the program mentioned above under the GENERAL category.

o Candidates are required to pay the full first year program fee including refundable Caution Deposit of Rs. 10,000 before the deadline specified for payment of full first year fee.

o After due verification, the list of students eligible for MAHE Scholarships will be finalized and MAHE Admissions Office will email the MAHE Scholarship Application Form 2025 to the eligible candidates.

o The excess fee paid (after applying for the scholarship) shall be refunded within 3 months, only on submission of duly filled Scholarship Application Form 2025 to the MAHE Admissions office.

• The Candidates admitted under this category will have to take care of other expenses such as hostel accommodation, food, books etc.

• The award of scholarship for the subsequent years will be same, as awarded during year 1.

• Continuation of scholarship for subsequent years will be based on the academic performance in the immediate previous university examinations before the due date for payment of fee / dues i.e., minimum CGPA of 7 in a 10-point grading system.

o Students who are promoted to next year with less than 7 CGPA are NOT eligible for scholarship and MUST pay the full Program fee applicable for that academic year.

o Students who are promoted to next year with failures (F) / Incomplete (I) / Detention (DT) grades, are NOT eligible for scholarship and MUST pay the full Program fee applicable for that academic year.

o Scholarships will be forfeited in instances of irregularity in attendance, proven charges of indiscipline, bringing disrepute to the Department / Institution / University etc.

• In case the student leaves the course before the course completion (for any reason), he / she MUST reimburse the full Program fee (as per Prospectus 2025) for the years of scholarship utilized, back to MAHE Manipal.

• The scholarship is applicable for the fee payable towards the Program fee for MAHE Manipal

• Students availing GPAT scholarship are not eligible for this scholarship

15. Scholarships for Academy of General Education Students (SAGES)

MAHE Manipal awards SAGES Scholarships to students who have studied the following, from any of the Academy of General Education (AGE) / Dr. TMA Pai Foundation institutions.

• 2 years (11th & 12th) of pre-university course (PUC) for under graduate (UG) courses

• 3 years of degree course (all years / semesters) for post graduate (PG) courses

• 3 years (6 semesters) of Diploma for Lateral Entry to BTech courses

Bonafide Certificate mentioning the period of study issued by the College / Institute should be produced at the time of admission

15.1 Scholarship Guidelines

• Admission will be done as per the admission criteria mentioned for the respective course.

• The SAGES Scholarship taken together is limited to 5 % of the GENERAL category intake

• Scholarship is applicable for the entire program duration, starting from the year of admission

• Minimum Eligibility Requirements

o Under Graduate (UG) program: 70 % aggregate (as per admission criteria) in 12th

o Post Graduate (PG) program: 70 % aggregate in Under Graduate (UG)

o B.Tech (Lateral Entry) program: 60 % aggregate in Diploma

• Program Specific

o For the Under Graduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) Programs with Manipal Entrance Test (MET)

▪ MET Rank will be used for the allotment of Scholarship, provided the candidate also satisfies the above- mentioned minimum eligibility criteria for the Scholarship. In case the candidate is

unable to meet the minimum eligibility criteria, such candidates are eligible to seek admission

without SAGES scholarship.

o B.Tech @ MIT Manipal, B.Pharm @ MCOPS Manipal

15.2 SAGES Scholarship

• The Scholarship involves 75 % waiver of the Program fee payable and is applicable for the entire program

duration, starting from the year of admission.

o Candidates are required to pay the full first year program fee including refundable Caution Deposit of

Rs. 10,000 at the time of Admission / Reporting.

o The scholar will have to take care of other expenses such as hostel accommodation, food, books, etc.

o After due verification, the list of students eligible for SAGES scholarship will be finalized and MAHE Admissions Office will email the MAHE Scholarship Application Form 2025 to the eligible candidates.

o The excess fee paid (after applying for the scholarship) shall be refunded within 3 months, only on submission of duly filled Scholarship Application Form 2025 to the MAHE Manipal Admissions office.

• The award of SAGES scholarship for the subsequent years will be the same as given at the time of admission.

o Scholarship will be extended in the subsequent years only to those students who have cleared all subjects in the University Examinations of immediate previous year before the due date for payment of annual program fee.

o Students who are promoted to next year with failures (F) / Incomplete (I) / Detention (DT) grades, will NOT be eligible for scholarship for that academic year.

o The scholarships will be forfeited in the instances of irregularity in attendance, proven charges of indiscipline, bringing disrepute to the Department / Institution / University etc.

• In case the SAGES scholar leaves the course before the course completion (for any reason), he / she MUST reimburse the total program fee (as per Prospectus 2025) for the years of scholarship utilized, back to MAHE

16. Scholarship for Students studied in Academy of General Education (AGE) Colleges

MAHE awards AGE scholarships to the students who have studied the following, from the following Academy of General Education (AGE) institutions.

• 2 years (11th & 12th) of Pre-University course (PUC) for undergraduate (UG) courses.

• 3 years of degree course (all years / semesters) for postgraduate (PG) courses.

16.1 Scholarship Guidelines

• Scholarship is applicable for the entire program duration, starting the 1st year of the program.

• The Bonafide Certificate mentioning the period of study issued by the College / Institute should be produced at

the time of admission.

16.2 AGE Scholarships

• Applicable for Students admitted under GENERAL category only.

• Students who take admission under SAGES category with SAGES scholarship benefit are NOT eligible for AGE scholarship.

o Students who take admission under SAGES category without SAGES scholarship benefit are eligible for AGE scholarship.

• The Scholarship involves 10 % waiver of the Program fee payable and is applicable for the entire program duration starting from the 1st year of the program.

o Candidates are required to pay the full first year program fee including Refundable Caution Deposit of Rs. 10,000 at the time of Admission.

o The scholar will have to take care of other expenses such as hostel accommodation, food, books etc.

o After due verification, the list of students eligible for the AGE scholarship will be finalized and MAHE Admissions Office will email the MAHE Scholarship Application Form 2025 to the eligible candidates.

o The excess fee paid (after applying for the scholarship) shall be refunded within 3 months, only on submission of duly filled Scholarship Application Form 2025 to the MAHE Manipal Admissions office.

• The award of AGE scholarship for the subsequent years will be same as given at the time of admission in the first year

o The scholarship will be extended in the subsequent year only to those students who have cleared all subjects in the University Examinations of the immediate previous year before the due date for payment of annual program fee.

o Students who are promoted to next year with failures (F) / Incomplete (I) / Detention (DT) grades, will NOT be eligible for scholarship for that academic year.

19. Manipal Foundation – MAHE Merit Scholarships

Manipal Foundation & MAHE awards the Manipal Foundation - MAHE merit Scholarships to students who have undergone the Scholar Program supported by Manipal Foundation and have been admitted to the following programs

• UG Allied Health Sciences

• B.Sc. Nursing

• Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm.)

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.)

19.1 Scholarship Guidelines

• This scholarship is open to students from all Pre-University (PU) colleges OTHER THAN those founded / supported / managed by The Academy of General Education (AGE) Manipal / Dr. TMA Pai Foundation institutions

• Students should have attended the full 2 years (11th and 12th grade) “Scholar program” rendered by Manipal Foundation through its partners

• Top 25 students in the Karnataka PU Boards examinations based on the Selection criteria i.e. (Physics + Chemistry + Biology) are eligible for this scholarship.

• The students who wish to avail the scholarship MUST apply under the GENERAL category.

• Admission will be done as per the admission criteria mentioned for the respective program by MAHE. There are NO preferential seats.

• Scholarship is available for the entire program duration starting from the year of admission.

19.2 Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• For the Under Graduate (UG) and Diploma program

o 70 % aggregate (as per admission criteria) in the 12th standard Board exam of the Karnataka State Board

• A certificate from Manipal Foundation

o Stating that candidate was a Bonafide student of the Scholar Program for both the 11th and 12th standards

AND

o Should have a minimum of 75% attendance while pursuing the Scholar Program

19.3 Manipal Foundation - MAHE Scholarship

• The Scholarship involves 75 % waiver of the Program fee payable and is applicable for the entire program duration starting from the year of admission.

o Candidates are required to pay the full first year program fee including refundable Caution Deposit of Rs. 10,000 at the time of Admission / Reporting.

• Manipal Foundation will submit a list of students who have attended the Scholar Program along with other details like marks scored in grades 11 and 12 with special reference to Physics, Chemistry and Biology, attendance tracking in the scholar program and a certificate of attendance from Manipal Foundation.

• After due verification, the list of students eligible for this scholarship will be finalized and MAHE Admissions Office will email the MAHE Scholarship Application Form 2025 to the eligible candidates marking Manipal Foundation for their information.

• The excess fee paid (after applying for the scholarship) shall be refunded within 3 months, only on submission of duly filled Scholarship Application Form 2025 to the MAHE Manipal Admissions office.

• The scholar will have to take care of other expenses such as hostel accommodation, food, books, etc.

• The award of the scholarship for the subsequent years will be same as given at the time of admission.

o Scholarship will be extended in the subsequent years only to those students who have cleared all subjects in the University Examinations of previous year before the due date for payment of annual program fee.

o Students who are promoted to next year with failures (F) / Incomplete (I) / Detention (DT) grades, will NOT be eligible for scholarship for that academic year.

o The scholarships will be forfeited in the instances of irregularity in attendance, proven charges of indiscipline, bringing disrepute to the Department / Institution / University etc.

• In case the MF MAHE scholar leaves the course before the course completion (for any reason), he / she MUST reimburse the total program fee (as per Prospectus 2025) for the years of scholarship utilized, back to MAHE Manipal.

21. Merit Scholarships for International Students

MAHE awards Scholar and Achiever scholarships to students admitted to Under Graduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) programs under the Foreign / NRI / NRI Sponsored category

21.1 Scholarship Guidelines

• This is NOT applicable to

o UG / PG / SS, Medical / Dental programs

o PG programs of TAPMI Manipal

• Eligibility Requirements

o Undergraduate (UG) program

▪ 75 % aggregate or equivalent (as per Selection criteria) in 12th

o Postgraduate (PG) program

▪ 75 % aggregate or equivalent in Undergraduate (UG)

• Scholarship is applicable for all students who meet the eligibility requirements for the entire program duration starting from the 1st year of the program.

o Scholar category scholarships

▪ For all students who meet the above eligibility requirements

▪ Applicable for the entire program duration starting from the 1st year of the program

o Achiever category scholarship

▪ Applicable at the beginning of the 2nd year, 3rd year, 4th year and 5th year based on the annual academic performance in the immediate previous year i.e., 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th year depending on the Program duration

Note: Scholarship is NOT applicable for the candidates who are paying the subsidised fee OR are admitted through Study in India (SII) / COMPEX / ICCR / DASA etc.

21.2 Scholar Category

• The Scholar scholarship is as shown in table above

o Candidates are required to pay the full first year program fee including refundable Caution Deposit of USD 200 at the time of Admission.

o The Candidates admitted under the Scholars category will have to take care of other expenses such as hostel accommodation, food, books, etc.

• Candidates will have to submit the following documents

o Academic records.

o Passport & VISA Copy of the Foreign / NRI students.

o Passport copy, VISA Copy & Embassy certificate of the Sponsorer, in case of NRI Sponsored Candidates.

• After due verification, the list of students eligible for Merit scholarship will be finalized and MAHE Admissions Office will email the MAHE Scholarship Application Form 2025 to the eligible candidates.

• The excess fee paid shall be adjusted towards the subsequent year Program fee, only on submission of duly filled Scholarship Application Form 2025 to the MAHE Manipal Admissions office.

• The award of scholarship for the subsequent years will be same as given at the time of admission in the first year.

o Continuation of scholarship for subsequent years will be based on the academic performance in the immediate previous university examinations before the due date for payment of fee / dues i.e., minimum CGPA of 7 in a 10-point grading system.

o Students who are promoted to next year with failures (F) / Incomplete (I) / Detention (DT) grades, will NOT be eligible for scholarship for that academic year.

21.3 Achiever Category

• “Achiever” Scholarship is applicable at the beginning of 2nd year, 3rd year, 4th year and 5th year based on the annual academic performance in the immediate previous year i.e., 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th year depending on the Program duration as mentioned below

o Scholarship eligible students, who are promoted to next year with failures (F) / Incomplete (I) / Detention

(DT) grades, will NOT be eligible for scholarship for that academic year.

o Scholarships will be forfeited in the instances of irregularity in attendance, proven charges of indiscipline, bringing disrepute to the Department / Institution / University etc.

• In case the Achiever category scholar leaves the course before the course completion (for any reason), he / she MUST reimburse the total program fee (as per Prospectus 2025) for the years of scholarship utilized, back to MAHE Manipal.

21.4 Admissions through SII / COMPEX / ICCR etc

MAHE Manipal also admits Foreign nationals through Study in India (SII), COMPEX (Embassy of India Nepal), Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) etc., with a subsidized fee structure. Such students are NOT eligible for this scholarship.

22. Scholarship for Konkani Speaking Students

MAHE awards 10 % fee waiver of program fee as scholarship, to candidates admitted to under graduate (UG) and post graduate (PG) programs ONLY, whose mother tongue is Konkani.

22.1 Scholarship Guidelines

• Applicable for Students admitted under GENERAL category only.

• The candidate is required to go through the admission process specified for each program

• There are NO preferential / reserved seats for Konkani speaking students.

22.2 Konkani Speaking Merit Scholarship

• The fee waiver is 10 % of the program fee.

o Candidates are required to pay the full first year program fee + Rs. 10,000 refundable Caution Deposit at the time of reporting.

• Candidates must submit the following documents

o Letter from the passing out School Principal / Institute Director certifying that mother tongue is Konkani.

o Filled up MAHE Scholarship Form 2025 available in the MAHE Manipal Admissions Office.

• The excess amount paid (after applying the scholarship) shall be refunded after the commencement of 2nd semester, only on submission of duly filled Scholarship Application Form 2025 to the Director (Student Affairs) office MAHE.

• The candidate will have to take care of other expenses such as hostel accommodation, food, books, etc.

• The award of Fee Waiver for the subsequent years will be same as given at the time of admission in the first year.

o Fee Waiver will be extended in the subsequent year only to those students who have cleared all subjects in the University Examinations of the previous year before the due date for payment of annual program fee.

o Students who are promoted to next year with failures (F) / Incomplete (I) / Detention (DT) grades, will NOT be eligible for fee waiver for that academic year.

o The fee waiver will be forfeited in the instances of irregularity in attendance, proven charges of

indiscipline, bringing disrepute to the Department / Institution / University etc.

23. Merit Scholarship for Children of MAHE Manipal Alumni

MAHE awards merit scholarships to all students admitted under the GENERAL category, for all undergraduate (UG)

and postgraduate (PG) full time programs, whose father OR mother has studied (Full Time) and graduated from any

of the MAHE Manipal Institutions (refer Annexure C).

23.1 Scholarship Guidelines

• This is NOT applicable to

o PG / SS, Medical / Dental programs

• Applicable for Students admitted under GENERAL category only.

• The candidate is required to go through the admission process specified for each program

o There are NO preferential / reserved seats for children of MAHE Manipal Alumni.

• Eligibility Requirements

o Undergraduate (UG) program

▪ 80 % aggregate (as per admission criteria) in 12th

o Postgraduate (PG) program

▪ 70 % aggregate in Undergraduate (UG)

• Candidate’s Father / Mother should have studied & graduated in any of the following, from any one of the MAHE Manipal institutions (refer Annexure C)

o UG program (of minimum 3 years)

o PG program (of minimum 2 years)

o Super Specialty (of minimum 2 years)

o PhD program (including part time)

• The Parent(s) has to register under Alumni portal (https://manipalalumni.manipal.edu/) before submission of the Scholarship application.

• Details / Documentation Requirements

o Proof of Registration in the MAHE Alumni portal.

o Provide Father’s / Mother’s Education qualification details, like Roll No, Program etc. at the time of applying, by submitting / uploading all year / semester mark cards OR Degree certificate.

o Submit / Upload any one of the Government Photo ID proof like Aadhaar, PAN Card, Passport, Driving License of the parent.

• Scholarship would be provided to maximum of 2 children only.

23.2 Merit Scholarship

• The fee waiver is 10 % of the program fee.

o Candidates are required to pay the full first year program fee + Rs. 10,000 refundable Caution Deposit at the time of reporting.

24. Scholarship Scheme of Interest Subsidy on Education Loan for MAHE Students

MAHE Manipal offers interest subsidy on education loan as scholarship, to the eligible students who joined various under graduate (UG) and post graduate (PG) programs offered at MAHE.

The scholarship is in the form of providing ‘Interest subsidy’ by partial reimbursement of the interest on education loan availed by them from banks.

24.1 Scholarship Scheme Guidelines

24.2 Eligibility Guidelines

• Loan shall be availed from a nationalized / scheduled bank for payment of program fee prescribed for the course.

Loan availed for payment of repeat term (casual term) fee will NOT qualify for the scheme.

• A student can avail the benefit of scholarship under the Scheme during the term of his / her study, when studying with an education loan.

• The benefits under the Scheme will NOT be extended to students in instances of irregularity in attendance, poor academic performance, proven charges of indiscipline and failure in the examination.

• MAHE reserves the right to prescribe the eligibility norms of academic performance for each course.

• The eligible loan for interest subsidy shall be the amount equivalent to the accumulated program fee already paid by the student to MAHE for the respective academic years.

• The fee shall be reduced by the subsidies (if any) provided by MAHE, in the form of fee concessions as per the Table below.

25. AICTE TFW (for BTech) and PG Scholarships

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi awards scholarships for deserving & meritorious students.

25.1 AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) Scheme for Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) Students

AICTE has introduced the scheme on tuition fee (program fees include tuition and other fees) waiver for economically weaker students, enrolled in the

• B.Tech program at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) Manipal

• B.Tech program at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) Bengaluru.

 

25.1.1 AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) Guidelines

• The proposed scheme will be applicable only to the students with parents’ annual income (from all sources) less than Rs. 8 lakhs (or as specified by AICTE) for the Assessment year 2025 – 26.

• AICTE TFW seats will NOT exceed 5% of the General intake for each branch.

• Candidates with MET 2025 rank will be communicated separately regarding the process of applying for AICTE TFW scheme.

• At the time of application submission, the following documents MUST be submitted

o If the parent(s) are working within India

▪ Candidate’s parents (Mother & Father) self-attested photocopy of the Income Tax (IT) return

form for Assessment Year 2025 - 26 for proof of parents’ income.

➢ Once submitted, revised Income Tax (IT) returns will NOT be accepted under ANY

circumstances.

o If the parent(s) are working abroad, they MUST submit the following

▪ Copy of the 12 month’s salary slip (April 2024 to March 2025)

▪ Copy of Passport

▪ Copy of Employment Visa

• After due verification, the list of students eligible for AICTE TFW will be communicated to all the candidates via

email for participation in online counseling.

o On seat allotment in any round, candidates are expected to confirm the allotted seat within the timeline by paying the stipulated fee.

• The fee waiver awarded for the 1st year will remain the same for the subsequent years.

o Students who are promoted to next year with failures (F) / Incomplete (I) / Detention (DT) grades, will NOT be eligible for fee waiver for that academic year.

o Fee Waiver will be forfeited in the instances of irregularity in attendance, proven charges of indiscipline, bringing disrepute to the Department / Institution / University etc.

• The AICTE scholarship will cover only the tuition fee payable for the particular course of study and will NOT cover the expenses such as hostel accommodation, books, etc.

• As the number of scholarship has been considered based on the intake of the particular BTech branch, if any student changes the branch in the second year, then he / she is NOT eligible for continuation of the scholarship from 2nd year onwards.

• In case the candidate leaves the course before the course completion (for any reason), he / she MUST reimburse the total program fee (as per Prospectus 2025) for the years of scholarship utilized, back to MAHE Manipal.

25.2 AICTE Scholarships for Post Graduate (PG) Programs

AICTE awards scholarship for students enrolled in the Master of Technology (M. Tech) and Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) programs.

Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm)

In pursuance of the policy framework for promotion of Post Graduate (PG) education and research in Engineering & Technology of MHRD, AICTE provides financial assistance to the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) qualified students, enrolled for the M.Pharm program offered by Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS) Manipal.
