Manipal School of Architecture and Planning (MSAP) successfully organized an enriching session titled “An Architect’s Journey Through the Indian Landscape” with Ar. Brinda Somaya.
The session offered profound insights into the evolving narratives of Indian architecture- highlighting the importance of contextual responsiveness, cultural continuity, and sensitivity towards heritage and environment. Ar. Brinda Somaya shared valuable perspectives on balancing tradition and modernity, the role of architects in shaping inclusive and sustainable communities, and the significance of ethical professional practice.
Students and faculty gained a deeper understanding of how architecture goes beyond built form to engage with social, cultural, and ecological dimensions. The discussion emphasized critical thinking, responsibility in design, and the need for a grounded yet progressive approach in architectural practice.
