MSAP Welcomes Ar. Brinda Somaya for an Interactive Session

Start Date: April 14, 2026

End Date: April 15, 2026

Manipal School of Architecture and Planning is delighted to host an inspiring session on “An Architect’s Journey Through the Indian Landscape” with Ar. Brinda Somaya - Founder & Principal Architect, Somaya Sampat, Mumbai.

With a career spanning over five decades, Ar. Somaya has profoundly shaped India’s architectural discourse through her work in adaptive reuse, conservation, and contemporary design. Her approach seamlessly bridges tradition and innovation, guided by her belief that “the architect is a guardian of the built and unbuilt environments.”

Her contributions have earned her global recognition, including an Honorary Doctorate from Smith College, the A.D. White Professor-at-Large Emerita at Cornell University, and the IIA Baburao Mhatre Gold Medal for Lifetime Achievement.

We look forward to an engaging exchange of ideas with one of India’s most influential architectural voices.
