Guest Lecture

Mr. Vikram Raghavan, Lead Counsel at the World Bank's Legal Department engaged the students on the topic “Beyond Bretton Woods: the World Bank and the IMF”. He narrated the birth of the post War international economic guardrails of national economies- the World Bank and the IMF. Starting from the trauma of the First World War and the failed peace, he brought his audience, through historical vignettes and captivating photographs, to Bretton Woods, and onward to the changing role of these global institutions over the decades. He thereafter addressed questions and graciously interacted with the students.
