Program Description
The Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Financial Technology program delivered through the School of Computer Engineering jointly with Department of Humanities and Management and the Department of Mathematics. This is a unique program as it mixes the course contents providing the graduates of this program with deep theoretical knowledge and a strong practical training in Computer Science, Financial Technology and Mathematical domains. The program provides the graduates to be industry-ready focusing on Fintech: Banking, Insurance, Capital Markets.
Focus
Fintech (Financial Technology) is the adoption of variety of technological developments such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, data analytics, application programming interfaces to the financial products and services such that it improves and mechanizes the application of financial services. With the Government’s focus to make India $5 trillion economy, a strong financial system becomes importance to realize this goal. With the service sector contributing more than 50 per cent to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the Indian context and the revolution in terms of digital payments, mergers of the banks, the demand for the qualified workforce is the need of the hour.
