LitLounge, the Literary Club from the Department of Liberal Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, held it’s first competition “Loudspeaker.” It was an extempore competition with the theme “Responses to a world in crisis” entirely organised by BA & MA English students. The topics revolved around pressing issues faced by most people in the world. 18 students from TAPMI, DOC, and DLHS participated in the event. Dr Pradeep Thomas and Dr Swathi Shivanand from DLHS, judged the competition.
The objective of this competition was to spread awareness about these issues and try to look at topics from a different perspective.
Participants got various insights and perspectives about things going around the world and helped them understand and learn events that are happening around them in daily life.
Arnim from T.A Pai Mangagement Institution (TAPMI) bagged the 1st place. The 2nd place was a tie between Ankitha from DLHS and Vedant from TAPMI. The 3rd place was bagged by Ajitesh from DLHS.
