Akhil Raju is currently an Assistant Professor of Finance at MLS Bangalore, where he teaches subjects such as Financial Management. He submitted his PhD thesis in Finance at the School of Management Studies, University of Hyderabad, under the supervision of Prof. Vijaya Bhaskar Marisetty, and is awaiting his viva voce. He holds an MBA in Finance from Pondicherry Central University and an M. Com from Maharajas College, Ernakulam. He is also a qualified UGC-JRF in Commerce and NET in Management. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor at Rajagiri Viswajyothi College of Applied Sciences. He also worked as a research associate for two years on a government-funded project to develop a blockchain-based platform for marginalized farmers in India. Akhil's research focuses on entrepreneurial finance, crowdfunding, cryptocurrencies, social and ESG investing, with expertise in text analytics, Stata, and R.
