Bangalore Legal Forum

Bangalore Legal Forum is a monthly series of panel discussions hosted at the Bangalore International Centre by Manipal Law School, Bengaluru, in collaboration with National Law School of India University, St. Joseph's College of Law and School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore.

The second panel in the series was organised by Legal Services Clinic, NLSIU, on 23rd May 2025. The panel comprising Mr. Anind Thomas (Partner at AZB & Partners), Adv. Promod Nair (Senior Advocate), Dr. Jaya Vasudevan (Professor of Law, Manipal Law School) and Mr. Vikas Mahendra (Partner at Keystone Partners) and moderated by @Dr. Apoorvi Shrivastava (Associate Professor, Manipal Law School) discussed the implications of the recent Supreme Court decision in the Gayatri Balasamy case that allowed the modification of arbitral awards, reforms to the arbitration laws in India and the use of arbitration and ADR as a legal aid tool.
